I'm not kidding, I'm sick of his face!

He doesn't give a crap about this team. If he's this wishy washy he'll SUCK this year anyway. Just hang it the hell up and let us move on!

What a shame this guy had to go out looking like such an a**!!

I am annoyed with Brett. Its a team effort and he is thinking only in terms of what is in his interest. Its not Brett Favre and the Packers. Its the Green Bay Packers. I wouldn't blame the leadership a bit if they said "Enough is enough, we're moving on, we've waited too long already."

Thank you sir!

I just read this- he is an idiot if he thinks that people did not expect this!

“The fact that we’re sitting here today at this press conference, to me, is a joke because I don’t have anything to tell you,” Favre said. “Somebody assumed that I would.”

From what I understand he knows he can still play, but he doesnt want to come back if the team isnt competitve... the Packers let their starting center go in free agency this year and they let their 2 srarting guards go last year. The middle of what was arguably the best line in football 2 years ago is gone.

I think Favre is justified in seeing what kind of line is gonna be protecting him before he decides to commit. 36 year old bones heal slow.

They have some good backs, and a decent Tight end but could use a receiver or 2 which there is still time to acquire...so the protection thing is the only thing that makes sense.

Favre is still a competitor but it is hard to compete if you are flat on your back every play.

Its the media that is making this a circus...Favre said all along he would let the Packers know..I was hoping he would confirm his return today too, but .training camp doesnt open until July...relax people.

In his career Favre has never tried to put himself above anyone else. Until now.

This is the most classless I have seen Brett act in his time with this team. He's like a little child. Do what I want or I won't play.

He should be a man, make a decision, and live with it. Either way I don't care anymore, just decide.

Arguably it appears to be an agonizing decision for him.

If anyone knows how gruelling a season can be, Favre would, having gone through 16 of them. Football players get hurt every game, but they increase the odds of getting hurt when they arent mentally into the game.

I think Favre is considering a couple of things that would make playing a chore. He has always played with joy. However, I dont think he wants to endure another losing season. He loves to compete...it isnt about money or personal records. But if there isnt a chance to win...that is what takes the fun out of it for him. Secondly, if he is going to throw his body around and risk injury...I am sure he doesnt want to do it on a 4-12 team.

Obviously the Packers are bigger than one player and I am sure the Packers are planning for whatever decision Favre makes.

Just let him decide. I have a feeling he will be back for one last season. I would like to see him go out like Elway did or at least on a winning note. But training camp doesnt open until July and the Packers still have plenty of time to adjust to Brett's decision. I think everyone is angry because they wanted to hear he was coming back by now. The media is jumping on that interest. Either way the Packer still open against the hated Bears...its all good.
