when you are throwing a party, and people are doing shots en-masse, dixie cups are about the right size, and there's the convenience of being disposable too.

gel deoderant packaging can be deceptive. The small containers often contain 3.8 oz of product while the long and skinny packages often contain 3.2 oz. Beware.

Dixie cups are small cheap paper cups. Other than being used for jello shots, I think they're mostly used in bathrooms so you can get a drink of water without sharing a cup.
