Wal-Mart

OK, just because this Wal-Mart store is right by my house, does not mean that I was involved.  This is the second bomb scare in as many days.  See Below:

The Wal-Mart Supercenter in La Quinta was evacuated twice Sunday after receiving two bomb threats. A bomb threat Saturday around 9 p.m. also resulted in the store being evacuated.

Deputies from La Quinta Police Department were back at the store, at 78-950 Highway 111, around 5 p.m. Sunday, said Cpl. Charles Mungle of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, but had not found any suspicious items.

The rash of bomb threats began with another false alarm at the Del Taco restaurant at Highway 111 and Washington Street at 5 p.m. Saturday.

who me?  now what do I have against the evil empire?  Just because they are ruthless in business, they squash the dreams of decent honest working people and bully their way through everything.  Not to mention that WalMart is now the 8th largest exporter from China.  Hmmmm, shopping our way to the unemployment line?

yes.  my ma-in-law thinks bill gates is the anti-christ!  i told her to take a look at sam walton!  i have been really doing well at not shopping (much) at wal-mart.  my dad (whom i think was a wise man in his own right), used to tell us since we were little -- share the wealth.  so, i try to buy local (not drive to tulsa), and buy made in oklahoma products.  my co-workers think it's cheesy, but it works for me.

No, there is a very very heavy hispanic population that shops at this Wal-Mart.  75% of the patrons and 90% of the employees are hispanic.  The roumer is that because wal-mart did not support the walkout on May first, that this is the reason the threats have come.  there was another threat, now making it three.

if this is so, here is another reason to round 'em up and move 'em out (those who are here illegally)...

I'll tell you. Wal-Mart has had some of the most unbeleivably low prices I've ever seen.

I remember when Seinfeld came out on DVD, EVERYONE was selling them for $27.99, EVERYONE.

Wal-Mart had them for $15.88!!!!!

That was the last time I shopped at Wal-Mart though (over a year ago). I prefer Target. The atmosphere just seems better.

I have to admit though, Wal-Mart is a ways away from my home, if they opened one closer to me than the Target is then laziness might normally win out. Now though I would probably think of CP and still go to Target!
