Anyone else having trouble? My live365 player just keeps going back in forth red in the volume bar area?

Everything seems ok Ruby.

I've had that happen before and I don't know what causes it. I usually reboot the computer and then it works fine.

my problem has been people problems, not technical...  


during my first batch, i got called into a conference call,


during my second batch some strange guy was let in by one of the factory guys and managed to find his way to my cubby...  he thought he was at auto zone... i was like are you serious?  (i work at a factory that makes connectors, we don't look anything like an auto zone)


during my third batch IT showed up in the house...  they were working on the system last night and asked if i was having any problems... i couldn't print anything out, so they said why don't you log out of everything and then reboot your system....  i was thinking...  uh, not being able to print is too bad... i can live with it...   my songs are on... just go away!   instead i rebooted and missed Lita.....sniff.


I see the Ramones coming up...   woohoo, i think that is mine.

busy morning for a saturday, especially since it is father's day weekend.   Last weekend only 1 guy showed up all day.

Well I ran a MacFee virus scan, a trendmicro virus scan, adaware scan, deleted my cookies and temp files, defragged and reset my modem and NOW I can listen

Ruby, I'll check and see how long it's been.

Live365 runs an automated bot of some sort now that pays attention to what we play to make sure we're not breaking the rules. If we do break them they delist us for four hours. Three times being delisted and they can suspend our account.

I think the same song can only play every three hours, so I'll cue it up when that time is coming. Hopefully that's soon (I haven't checked yet to see when it was played)

lol, uh oh. I sense you are suggesting you may have broken a few

JD, the two big ones I know of are not playing the same artist more than three times in a four hour block and not playing the same song more than once every three hours.

Also, if the ID Tags don't have all the information that's a problem too.

Technically the New Music Weekend skates on some thin ice, because the fourth song is played RIGHT at the fourth hour.

I think if you go to the live365 broadcast section they have the rules available somewhere.

It's a long list, but most don't apply to us because Live365 handles them.

It's something like the DMCA rules or something

Ooooooooooh,

You know another one that we break ALL THE TIME but luckily they have no way of knowing.

We're not supposed to play a request for AT LEAST one hour after it's been made. The RIAA doesn't want people recording music off the radio so they don't want them to know when their songs will be on. Like anyone who was going to do that wouldn't just record the entire show until their song plays. DUH! The RIAA are morons!

was there something about playing songs without the right titles? I have a couple labeled by artist as UNKNOWN SONG (from bootlegs and stuff.......ooooo....I suppose they don't like bootlegs hey?)

No, they don't like bootlegs.

But there's a way around that, you have to tag them as PSA's (Public Service Announcements).

Remind me to show you how to do it on Sunday.

I used not to be afraid of the rules, but now the live365 communist police have automatic programs that police each station. I actually did not play some stuff I wanted to during underground 80s for fear of breakin the stoopid rules.
