The Day In Review Thread

Hey!

I have inherited my grandmother's inability to sleep well. She says sometimes it helps to go over your day in your head. I do this and it sometimes works. Maybe this can be an extention of the right now thread- the day in review thread!

Breakfast, shower, get dressed, post on the forum, drive to grandma's, went to work, worked, had dinner, worked some, drove home and posted on the forum.

today was ok for a monday.

I got up just wanting to go back to bed. I was able to skip out of the monday morning first thing meeting because I had a rush job to get done by noon. I missed a lot of needless sh*t  by gettin out of there. someone bought bagels, that was nice. but the bigger girls in the office sort of were like line-backers all up there muscling there way in and clogging the path, so all I got was the crusty oatmeal bagel. I've learned never to complain to women 3 times my size.

I took on a new client and task for a part timer who is retiring to greener pastures. It involves proof-reading, which is kind of cool- reminds me of my tech writing days. Sort of broke up my day from its usual routine. of course then I get hit with a project for another client, but it doesn't seem too bad yet.

the lady at the bank today forgot to give me back my drivers liscence and debit card, I was glad I noticed this. them kids at the bank are goof-offs so I keep an extra eye on everything because I do not trust them. saved myself a huge headache.

tonight when I got home I made food on the grill, opened a bottle of wine. all is well. did an hour of reading; that's good/ I've been neglecting my reading. I am now here, with the last glass of wine.

Not a bad day.

Well. Let's see.

I got up a little later than I wanted to. About 8:30. I skipped breakfast and got in the studio to chat a little on air and on the forum, while working the myspace stuff.

I had lunch, a pizza burger. Then I left for work.

Came home after the first run, did some housework.

Went to do the second run.

I had to clean an account tonight, so I went and did that. While I cleaned I had picked up my Mom and dropped her off at Home Depot to shop. When I was done cleaning I picked her up and dropped her off at her house.

Then I came home, made supper, had a Smirnoff Wid Grape, chatted on the forum for a bit.

Then I got yelled at by Woo Hoo.

Now I'm thinking about going to watch a movie.

Pretty uneventful day.

Oh yeah, and my dispatcher called and set up my review for tomorrow at 1 PM. What a joke, EVERY FRICKIN' FOUR MONTHS I gotta go in for this stupid 2 minute review where they say "Everythings good, see ya in four months".

I'm telling you, THOSE WERE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF MY DAY! It's all I got dude! Cut me some slack!

Now I've been yelled at by Woo Hoo, Allycat and JD all in a span of 30 minutes. I could be treated nicer if I went to an NAACP meeting dressed in a KKK hat and robe!

woohoo you did 2 jobs and are now payin a bill! you are excused!

I guess what I'd like this thread to be is a sort of Stop And Smell The Roses sort of thread. Even tho we go, go, go with our work-a-day lives, maybe a kind word, a pat on the back, or something funny or good happened today. did you see it?

and maybe by going over your day, you'll see it then.

and yet in a way to, this is nothing more than a friend asking about your day!

Didn't you already have a "stop and smell the roses" thread?

I forget what it was actually called, but the concept was to appreciate those special moments in your day.

I'm gonna have to find this now

yep I did and it was fun. We have a guy at work that is obsessed with "nekid twister" as he calls it. A few months back our DM was here and asked why one cupboard was off center from the other and his reply was well this one day we were playing nekid twister and someone hit it with their behind. I thought she was going to have a heart attack right then and there. I bought it for his birthday today and a gallon of canola oil.

Sorry JR . . . I'm not gonna yell at the girls. The girls rock. Don't make me chose, you wouldn't like the outcome.

well, see.....the smell the roses thread is about daily enlightenments, this, this is just an overview of the day. what happened today. If the whole "birth school work death" thing is all people want to post, it will get old. yours was a good post riggs. You got that review thing tomorrow, you did some cleaning, we know.

It wasn't

I got up

I went to work

I came home

I ate

I went to bed,

we know you had a pizza burger, you did some cleaning, hung out on the myspace for awhile and the station- details, folks, details!

what made today ok or what made today suck?
