Not the men on here though! Granted, she didn't use her best judgement, but the cop could've been a bit nicer.


ALOHA, Ore. - An Oregon woman was looking for love in all the wrong places when she called 9-1-1 wanting a "cute" sheriff's deputy to return to her house.

Lorna Jeanne Dudash succeeded in getting a date - in court, that is.

After her neighbors reported a noise complaint, two Washington County sheriff's deputies knocked on Dudash's door.

When they left, Dudash dialed 9-1-1 in a desperate attempt to get the deputy she described to dispatchers as "a cutie pie" to return.

The dispatcher repeatedly asked why Dudash needed the deputy to return.

Dudash's response: "Honey, I'm just going to be honest with you, okay? I'm 45 years old and I'd just like to meet him again."

The deputy returned and arrested Dudash for misusing 9-1-1. She now faces a $6,000 fine and up to a year in jail.

Exactly! Why couldn't he have just said thanks but no thanks and lecture her on the proper use of 911?

We find love in all the "WRONG" places sometimes. That story is sad . I can say this "Men are jerks sometimes"  (I hope that I'm not a jerk)

My guess is that she was a poster child for free-range redneck and the cop was insulted she even thought she had a chance with him.

Nah - but I believe in karma, so eventually, I'd imagine he'll be fat and bald and still hitting on young girls he pulls over.

Those are all nice thoughts. Sometimes you have to do your job no matter what. It might actually be more of a bummer for him... what if she were cute? (maybe she is) and he'd have to arrest her, then ask her out. It does put up a red flag...what else does this lady do that isn't quite right or selfish. I'm not sure of how many responders are available in the town where this went down but, say they have a dozen and one is sent to the bogus 9-1-1 call, meanwhile the others are busy doing whatever it is they might do, then you need 9-1-1. I'd be glad the cop was over at her place getting a little snap n tickle.

I agree it was a bad judgement call on her part, but I don't think it warranted an arrest. People call 911 for having the hiccups, and they don't get arrested for it. At least she was honest enough to say why she was calling instead of making something up. Had she made something up, I'll bet he wouldn't have arrested her.
