Good morning. It's only 70 out right now, should feel cold compared to the last few days. My whole office is dressing in black today to celebrate a co-workers 40th birthday.

'lo. I am here. I've been scrambling around since I left here last night. I had to run to the store to pick up food for lunches, but then since I was there started looking around for something to wear to the wedding on Saturday. When I got home around 11, I plugged the computer back in from the storm the other night. I got on to enter some McD's game pieces and to try to figure out a problem i was having with a messenger service. We all of a sudden lost the internet. I tried unplugging crap to no avail. So I went to bed pissed off. When i woke up I unplugged the modem and power cord again before I jumped in the shower. When I got out and re-plugged everything back in, it was fine. Phew! I hate to think what would happen if I lost the net at both home and work. Just how bad would my shakes be?! Today I'm getting my hair cut and then I might try to go to the store to find something to wear. Otherwise I guess I'll be wearing black. It's all I have. Well have a good day all!

hi everyone.  another scorcher --  after a few days, it's just old...  and every summer i have to hear:  "i remember when we lived in bristow and we never had air conditioning and we made it just fine..."  


okay, honey.  how about we turn off the air for a few hours so you can really reminisce"  


and the in the winter it's the opposite, but i will spare that for when the wind chill factors in around january....


darlene had a birthday?  did we miss it?

I am actually wearing black slacks, a charcoal grey shirt and an all black tie. It looks pretty dead around here.


In celebration of Darlene's 40th I am wearing black shoes and belt too!

And my birthday is on December 30th, I probably shouldn't have said I just turned forty, because I just didn't, it was more like 6 months ago..... let me rephrase, when I turned 40 in December I didn't really have too many people recognize that I was even turning 40....  And it sounds like Sparky's office makes a point to acknowledge someone's big 40. 


It seems since I turned 40, I have been falling apart... pulled muscle here, strained back there, aches, pains.. you name it.


And Mamograms.... that appointment was last week...   ouch, they hurt!

It is that way here all the time. I was not used to that when we moved here. It is hard to get used to it too. Plus it does not cool off here at night. At least in IL you knew at night that it would cool down. You could open the windows some nights.

that's the same here, ruby.  last night it was still 92 at midnight!  there are very few nights we can sleep with the windows open.  the kids are wearing flip flops and shorts sometimes till mid october!

Oh yeah DS, same here. The first year I lived here it was 76 on my birthday- which is Xmas eve!  It seemed great coming from Chicago and being 17, but now Bring on the snow!
