Still using Firefox, but I'm using a custom hosts file that blocks a TON of crap.

If you're interested, this is where I got the one I'm using now:

It was blocking all the images from this forum but it was an easy fix to get them back. I haven't had near the ads and popups since enabling this file.

I just realized that in FireFox if I right click over the banner ad I have an option to "Block images from this domain". By doing so the ad never appears again.

I had to do it for about five ads (because they were all for different places), but now I get no ads showing up there!
