we have a huge wildfire near our house. I have pictures of the smoke but I need  to send them to someone to host them for me.

I just read the Rapid City Journal! They're saying the Black Hills are being chewed up by these fires!

THEY GOTTA STOP IT!!!! If the Black Hills are nothing but a charred ruin that whole area will be ruined for decades

Please post them. I promise if I was even a little bit scared right now I would be gone. We left last year without being told by the fire department. I have a close family member on the fireline closest to our house and he said we are ok. He will let us know if we are in any danger.

I can't beleive how brown all the grass is there Ally. I thought you guys got a decent amount of rain in the summer?

When I was in Deadwood it rained almost every afternoon, but just for like 30 minutes. I remember one day it was pouring and yet there was blue sky above. Wierd.

The way the smoke is going up, it looks like its not extremely windy. That is a GOOD thing.

dude I can't believe it. I would soooooo be out of there. I trust no one's opinion when it comes to wild-fires. the wind can kick up, it can start raining fire, the roads could be bottle-necked with last minute folks tryin to get out.

We are going to drive up the road and get some more pictures.


JD, we have a 2 lane service road, a four lane highway, and a pasture and another 2 lane service road and a housing developement before it would get to us.
