I LOVE fruit and would love to eat nothing but! I am munching on some cherries right now. I hate buying produce- it is so expensive and sometimes things go bad before we eat them, but usually I keep at least 6 fresh fruits in my kitchen. Right now I have seedless grapes, plums, cherries, bananas, tomatoes (for those who say that is a fruit!) and blueberries. We have some fresh fruit stands around, but I do not get to them as much as I like.


 


How about you? Like fruit?

I love fruit, but for the spoilage reason we don't buy it very often. I love cherries, plumbs, nanners, and raspberries.

I already finished the strawberries. At one point I had some nectarines or peaches. I have cherries remaining. I have to make sure I don't buy too much because I have the same problem of having to toss it if I don't eat it quickly enough.

I LOVE fruit! I always pick up cherries whenever they are on sale. A bunch of us went to pick blueberries a few weeks ago. I think I have 3 pounds left in the freezer. I also have some apples at home. I got some peaches a few weeks ago, and I purposely bought them underripe so they would last longer, and they never ripened!

Molly - don't you hate when that happens?


I have had a hard time the last number of years with the peaches. I also buy them before they are ready. I let them ripen at home. However, sometimes you get that soft on the outside but still hard in the middle. I guess I shoud try ripening them the proper way. Or you get them all ready at once and a day later they start growing mold. Yuck!

Yeah, I haven't had much luck with peaches lately either. And that's one fruit that I can't find at farmer's market, so I usually don't get any.

Oh, I forgot to mention strawberries. I make a strawberry cheesecake that my husband loves. He always asks for strawberry cheesecake instead of a birthday cake.

Molly- try putting them in a brown paper bag- it works for me! Them= peaches.

there is usually a pretty good deal on grapes and berries at the grocery store this time of year- blueberries, rasberries & grapes. good finger food.

Nice stock of fruit in your kitchen. I have a nice little blackberry patch in my backyard that I pick berries from all summe long. I love those. Does anyone else like blackberries around here? I have so many I can freeze and mail them to you...seriously I hhave way too many to consume even when I freeze them.

That is the boy's favorite fruit- blackberries. The thing I hate most about fruit is that is costs 10 times what a bag of chips cost! I aim to eat three different fruits that are different colors everyday!
