Okay, TRAIN rocks!

I had to come back to the forum JUST TO SHARE THIS!

Train is on Soundstage on PBS right now. I am BLOWN AWAY. I was never a huge Train fan, but seeing somebody performing live gives you a whole new take on them.

I'm not sure what the lead singers name is, the guy looks like he should be a banker or a stock broker, not a rocker. But he's got a crystal clear voice and absolute command of the stage which I love.

Some artists just don't have it, some do. This guy does. He controls the stage!

Type of singer that makes me wish I had that kind of talent.

Ok, back to movie night

Oh, PS. Gonna have to add their new song ALL I EVER WANTED, it's GREAT!

Hello everyone! I must ask you Mr. Riggs....would you really miss your pc if you were on vacation for a week in the moutains or on an island? Have you been away from this site for any prolonged time period? Just curious!

Hey Cheeselvr. I have to admit I addicted to the very same crack that I created

I did really well for a long time. I always viewed the forum as a place for the listeners to hang out, and didn't say a lot in here.

But eventually the pull was too strong and now I pretty much don't go more than a few hours without checking in on it. It's only gotten worse since the whole house has computers in it now. Access to the forum is just too easy.

So in answer to your question, YES I'd miss it. On occassion I like to go up to the hotel/casino near the Dells, but I always bring my laptop with me

I suppose it's a habit I could break if I had too, but it wouldn't be easy

good evening cheese, I am addicted too. but I force myself a couple of weeks a year to go away- vacations make it easy. just drop off and get away from the routine....oh wait, I called into the morning show each morning from new orleans....so I wasn't THAT far away....yep, addicted!

Wow and I thought I was bad, spending my day off here. I will probably have to call or something on my next vacation too.

That's right! JD was calling from the balcony of his hotel room in New Orleans!

You called once or twice from the train too and we could hear Chef giggling in the background because the ride was so bumpy

it was fun. train ride was looooong and yea some of them rails are pretty rough. I couldn't sleep. I had the top bunk and was gettin flailed around pretty good. The food in the restaurant car was awesome tho!!!

not much scenery to see from the rails- a lot of trees and building backs. Tennessee in the sunrise is pretty. Mississippi looks poor, but you get into Louisiana and see the spanish moss hanging from cyrpris trees in the swamps and you KNOOOOW you are as deep south as it gets!( well, besides florida....)

Back to the TRAIN subject.   I really love "Drops of Jupiter"... that is such a great song.  I played it yesterday for Tennessee Girl.

I am not a big fan of the modern-day AOR bands (ala, Lifehouse, Third Eye Blind, Creed), but I do have to admit there are a few Train songs out there that I really love, like "Calling All Angels" and "When I Look To The Sky".   I never cared for "Drops Of Jupiter" though to be honest.

However, if they ever come out with a Greatest Hits, I might check it out
