Morning all- hope you feel better Molly. I am dragging myself the phone punk called at 1:30 am and 4:30 am, so I am tired and pissed. Today is one of the ladies last day and it is summer graduation, so I have 80 kids who want me.

Does that mean you can't have ice cream anymore? Is there a brand that doesn't use eggs?

That really must suck. It's fine when you're at home and you have a label you can read, but what about when you want to go out?

I remember you saying you don't go out much because of it, but that's just not good. You're way too young to have to be worrying about every little thing you eat!

It's kind of funny the way it works out. Most ice cream uses corn syrup and/or dextrose (which is made form corn). I have to get the higher priced stuff to find some that don't use artificial stuff like that, but most of those are meant to be "slow churned" and "creamy." Well of course, they have to use eggs to get to that.

But there are a couple types of ice cream I can have. Edy's mint chocolate chip is fine. And I'm only allergic to the egg whites, and Hagen Daas coffee ice cream only uses egg yolks, and I have no reaction to that. And I absolutely love the coffee ice cream. And I can normally get it from the drug store, but they were out of that flavor last night.

I usually have to call ahead whenever we go out to eat, and if I don't get to pick the resturant, I usually end up with a plain salad (I use lemon juice instead of the dressing in that case) and steamed veggies. There's a couple places in town that actually will give you a list of their ingredients, so I eat at those places a lot. Yes, I am young, and I should have many years ahead of me. But if I don't watch every little thing I eat, that won't be the case.

Just checking in. I can't play. They are short staffed on the shop floor and have us rotating to fill in. I have been down there almost since I got here this morning. I just got a break and I haven't done any of my OWN work. It looks like you are all having a fun Friday. I will miss you.

I'm so glad it's Friday! Woo, hate to hear you are swamped. I am, too. Problems, problems and more problems today. Oy. I just found out yesterday that the business trip that I'm going on next week has been extended a day. That is not good. So I will be gone from Tuesday until Monday, so don't be suprised that you won't hear from me.

Molly, so sorry about your allergy. My aunt is allergic to eggs, too. She's also allergic to chocolate and beer, as well. I would have to say just shoot me if I were allergic to chocolate and beer. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Me too, we always die in July. August should be better except I have $500 of car insurance to pay. SD unlike WI are required by law to have it.

Is she actually allergic to chocolate and beer, or something in them? In addition to the eggs, I'm also allergic to corn. Which means no to most beer (but I don't like beer anyway), and no to some cheap chocolates that use corn syrup. Luckily, I can have plain ol' Hershey bars!
