Yes she's sleeping and that's why I'm able to be here at this time. Funny thing, I missed actually hearing my requests (must've been away from my desk or sonthing)....oh well.

On my lunchbreak I ran into several homeless people (I swore they let out a mental institution today) but couldn't bring myself to ask them to listen to ffr. One person was screaming at me because I wouldn't give him a dollar. As I'm walking past the Sears Tower this dude is screaming at me "What difference is a $ going to make to you?"..........

I ran into a homeless person at the end of my route today.

he's always standing on the freeway off ramp holding a sign that says "HOMELESS: PLEASE HELP ME". I was wondering if I could work out a deal where maybe we could sponser his sign for $5.00 a month Put a little logo and web address at the bottom. Maybe jazz the sign up a bit, make it light up

That's mean, I shouldn't make light of it. But some of these guys really annoy me. the ones that are there at the same spot every night, every day, for years.

I've given money to "homeless" people and seen them immediately go to a liquor store. I've been told that they needed bus money and then when I offer them a ride they say never mind.

I even had one guy outside a video store hit me up twice in a month with the same lame story about how he needed bus money to get to an interview. The second time I told him "you know, you might want to mix up your story once in awhile because you told me the same thing about four weeks ago". He just walked away muttering something at me

I have one for yahs- 1 day @ my work there were lots of leftover food from a conference or something we held (there's always lots of free food at my place of emplyment)...so 1 day I grabbed a bunch of leftover sandwiches from the Corner Bakery so I wouldn't have to deal with dinner. As I was crossing the bridge over the Chicago River there was a man asking for $ because he said he needed a sandwich. Well, instead of giving him $, I told him- "Here, I got a buch of sandwiches- which do you like better, tuna or ham?" NEITHER. He just wanted the $.

I guess he really wasn't that hungry or perhaps a vegetarian?
