I have the world's screwiest most possessed home computer of all times. It's been weeks since it would allow me to post. Something about my cookies. I deleted them, no luck. Then it was something about my security level. I kept reducing it to low, but it never would stick and would automatically go back to medium. I'm not a techie so I didn't know what else today. Today, all of a sudden, it let me back in!!! YEAH!!! Hi JR, Hi Woo, I see you guys are on too.
This stupid computer... I thought maybe it was forgetting my logon each time I wanted to respond to a forum topic, so I went to my internet options and messed around with them for a bit. Went back to ffr and then was unable to log on AT ALL. Again, it started saying that my browser wouldn't accept their cookies or some such. So...then I decide on a wild hair to log off,and go to my husband's log on. Same computer mind you. I go to his and I'm working fine. I'm so confused. Is this a sign from God that it's time for us to replace our five year old computer or has Dell infiltrated my system, wreaked havoc, with the hope that I'll break down and get a new one. We had this antique serviced last year hoping to speed it up and move more smoothly. But I couldn't tell much improvement.
Do you still have the restore discs? A complete restore will return your computer to the same quality it was the day you bought it. Actually I usually find it to be even better than the day you bought it because the restore discs a lot of times won't put some of the crappy promotional stuff on the system that was originally on there.
Wow, I've just been able to jump from topic to topic without having to log on each time. How SWEET!!! Hi Mz Hartz, good to talk with you too!!! I always enjoy reading your comments through the day.
Now that I have my access back, I've got some research to do. JR's got some of my favorite albums in the library, I just need to figure out which songs I want added to our play list.
I also have a house to clean and laundry to catch up on.
Thanks for the tip JR. I wouldn't have a clue where to find the restore discs. We had a friend get us all loaded up when we got it. I know he added a lot of extras on there too so I'm sort of afraid to start completely over for fear of deleting things we want and need. As long as I can log onto FFR through my hubby's internet, I'm happy.
