Workout music

Hey all- I'm going to go on the treadmill for awhile now. Hopefully people can request some fast paced music for me.  What do you think are good work out songs?

I like putting on a cd- radio is too unpredicatble. Or old mix tapes from the 80s/90s....I used to love dance mixes played on late night stations on the weekends...those were the best. Bad Boy Bill- Julian Jumpin' Perez, etc. I think Euro-mixes suck, though.

Yeah, I definately can't work out to the radio. I've tried listening to Freeze-Frame while I exercise and it just doesn't work. Too varied a sound for a workout.

Information Society, KLF, Lil Suzy, Amber, Kylie, Indecent Obsession, Salt N Pepa, Glenn Mediros, Bobby Brown,  Madonna, Whitney, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Rockell,  and many others.

hi thumper (can I call you that?)- i have such a huge collection of mix tapes from as far back as 1989. Some were off the radio on high quality cassettes and others are professionally done. I really need to get some onto a cd. Pretty soon tape decks are going to be totally obsolete, right? I like your selection- that's when I was into hip-hop- in the 80s and very early 90s. When hip hop started getting really into gangs, violence, and lewd sexual topics, I was really turned off.

I have several myself, I always got the break up tapes. Seems like everytime a girlfriend and I splitup they would make me a tape of ballads and sad songs. Did anyone else get / give these?

I got a break-up tape once.

Let's see, what did she put on there again

Oh yeah, Kool & the Gang's "Celebration".

I think Steam was on there with "Na Na Na Na, Goodbye"

And then of course there was that song she wrote herself, I think it was titled "You suck and I hope you die a violent death at the hands of wild beasts".

Good times

He built his collection ONE BREAKUP AT A TIME!

Eventually he was pre-screening potential girl friends to make sure they didn't have all the music he already had.

If so, I might have to slap Sparky around a little.  Delilah annoys me!

I have yet to meet the person she DOESN'T annoy.

My first warmup song on my workout CD is Rusted Root - "I'm on My Way" - a great song, and inspirational to the cause! On their CD "When I Woke" they also have two incredible fast-paced songs both with a fantastic drum beat - "Drum Trip" followed by "Ecstacy" - those are the best songs I've ever found for the treadmill experience.
