we do have current stats of how many listeners, but usually have to wait until noon the next day for an update of how many total for the day, the cities & countries they were listening from, and how long they were tuned in.

There are hundreds and hundreds of streams launched a day, but these also include folks that log out before lunch and log back in, so that number can be deceptive...

I think in my mind the goal is 1000.

At that point we could start selling SOME advertising (don't worry, NOT MUCH, just DJ announced type sponserships) and afford to break free from Live365.

Even at that point we're not going to be able to make even a part time living at this, but it would pay for itself and probably provide for the improvements we'd like to make to the station.

It would also be a great tie-in for a business I'm working on setting up right now, so it could be valuable well beyond any advertising revenue we could accumulate.

We were selling advertising last fall when we were up to about 25,000 listener hours a month and it was bringing in about $150 to $200 a month for a little while, that was enough to cover our expenses. But a change in the way Live365 listed the stations killed us and I had to stop selling advertising because our numbers just didn't justify it.

I got something from them but couldn't remember if I requested it off their webstie or if you sent it. If yours wasn't called Disc-Makers then it hasn't arrived yet. Hopefully soon.

Coolio then! I got it and it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot of good equipment in there and the prices were better than I expected.

I WAS a little disappointed to see that they offer the very service I'm setting up, but not in the exact same way so it's probably ok.

EXACTLY! Plus they're not doing the sales/fullfillment angle, they just produce and ship to the artist.
