Cindy Sheehan hospitalized in Texas Anti-war mom suffering from dehydration and exhaustion, friends say The Associated Press
WACO, Texas - Anti-war demonstrator Cindy Sheehan was hospitalized Friday evening for dehydration and exhaustion after fasting for more than a month and protesting earlier this week in 100-degree weather, friends and relatives said.
Sheehan, who has been on a liquid diet as part of the nationwide “Troops Home Fast” hunger strike, had been treated and released from a Seattle emergency room Thursday night. On doctors orders, she ate for the first time in about 37 days, Burns said.

I didn't know a hunger strike only lasted until it was uncomfortable for you I really was hoping she could see this through to it's logical conclusion.
You and me both, brother! Yes, she has the right to protest. She has the right to her opinion. I respect the fadt that her son fought for and died for this country. I would have a lot more respect for her if she had stayed with her original mission... to have a chat with the President. I believe she did that. Now it just seems like she is trying to keep herself in the headlines. I could not believe it when I heard she was going to try to run for office. I feel for her loss, but that does not qualify her to be in Congress.
Enough already... she does not speak for every mother out there. My nephew Alex is currently in Marine Corps bootcamp at Parris Island, SC. His mother will be crushed (as will I) if he loses his life fighting for this country, but we would never criticize his choice to become a Marine and serve his country. To me, Cindy Sheehan is just insulting her son's memory by running down our military and our country. Those are clearly things that her son believed in or he would not have made the choice to sign up. She is also belittling the memory of my father, my uncles, and countless thousands of other fathers, sons, uncles, mothers, daughters, husbands, wives, aunts, brothers, and sisters who served, fought, and died so that she can have the right to stand around insulting them while on a half-arsed hunger strike cheezing for a camera.
Okay... I'll get off my soapbox now.

I agree too. I am sure her son is looking down and shaking his head in disbelief. He died serving his country and now his mother is making it like he died for nothing. By belittling the president and his decisions and harassing him, she is distracting attention where it belongs on the troops- NOT her. He believed in the war and in our military, she should too. If she disagrees, that is her right, but she needs to move on and grieve.
I've said this before but it bears repeating. My thing with her is that everytime I've heard her speak she seems to be as dumb as a brick. I just think she's become a tool for the extreme left and she's too stupid to even care.
I also think she's gotten to like the constant attention and doesn't want to go back to a real job. This is how she makes her living now. Traveling the country and bitching in front of thousands of people that agree with you. Not a bad job if you can get it.
Just one more time I'm gonna say it - HE VOLUNTEERED period .com
Jr's right , this women can't see past her grief to realise she is being used . The more she gets dragged around the country by her "freinds " the more tired and frazzeled she gets. Won't be long and she'll end up in the morgue . I can see the headlines now ; Latest victim of Bushs' war dies .
I read that she had a gyneological procedute done. I think she really needs her head checked. She must be insane to let moveon.org take over her life. I have little if any respect for her.
Whenever I hear her talk its like she's been totally coached on what to say- it's not coming from the heart. I know her family doesn't support her anymore. That says a lot.
