Invader Zim makes an appearance!

We had a blast at the Horrorfind Convention over the weekend... I got great pictures of the tyke with lots of villains! The guy who played Candyman and the guy who played Jason in 4 of the Friday the 13th Movies... and some less scary ones, like the mom from ET and the main female character from Buck Rogers (I'm dating myself here).

The tyke took 3rd place for her Invader Zim costume. Two zombies won 1st and 2nd for their stage presence... both had complete spastic breakdowns on stage - how do you compete with that when the judges are actors?!

Awesome!  Candyman - Just saw him in an episode of Angel.  He is really nice, and I enjoy talking to him purely to hear his wonderful speaking voice.  What a cool voice!  And Dee Wallace Stone is a sweet lady. Did the guests charge $ for photos with them?  Because at Chiller, they often do, and I think that sucks.

No - for the most part people didn't ask for money to have their picture taken with you. They did charge money for signing the photos they brought with them. But for candid shots, only one person was adamant about not having their photo taken without permission... I don't even remember sho she was. One other asked for a $1 donation to her charity, which I thought was fine. The rest were all really nice, friendly and had no problem with photos!

Dee Wallace Stone was definitely my favorite... she was so friendly, let my daughter choose one of the ET toys at her table and she MCed the costume contest along with an actress from Hostel. The Hostel actress was really quiet on stage, definitely not in her element, but Dee MORE than balanced that. She was incredible!

Usually, if you buy something at their table, you get to have your pic taken with them for free.  But usually, I just want a pic, and $20 is waaaay too much to pay in my book!  Although Erin Gray is really sweet, and usually just takes a buck or two for charity to get your photo with her.  My husband has a crush on her.
