I've begun this months round of bills myself.....man o man...... you know, I did get cash from the guy who crashed into me......I could clean up the bumper, its not going to fall off, and keep the cash......but I am really torn. its a NEW car. I am still paying for it. It deserves a new bumper. BUT I GUARANTEE YOU some other numbskull is gonna rear-end me again sooner or later. people by my work drive like idiots en masse. nothing would tic me off more than getting it repaired just to have it smashed again!!! its like its not worth having something new and nice, cuz some dumb**** is just gonna ruin it.

lol. I was REALLY wondering if you were gonna wind up keeping the cash JD. The bumper barely looks like it was touched, and that cash in hand is pretty nice hey?

aw I don't like the fact its bent off its mountings....I've got a buddy who's dad does body work for a living, and would probably do it for cost plus maybe $100. I'd still pocket $400 I bet, but yea, that $1200 sure could be used on ....well.....BETTER stuff.....

But JD, if you don't get it fixed now and someone rear-ends you again, is it going to cause more damage? The point of the bumper is kind of to protect the rest of the back end.

I'm torn here too, the day I went to buy my truck a car backed into  the lady that owned it. She took $1300.00 off of the price. Instead of fixing it we absorbed the $1300. into the loan. After looking at it for about a year my dad and I hammered it back out. It doesn't look too bad now!

I'm sure the thing could take another hit. but I'll probably get it fixed. its still  a new car. just turned over 10,000 miles.  The whole thing would just get really redundant when it happens again.
