Hello JR, Hey Ruby, Ola Woo!!  Just checking in.  I'm helping with spelling words right now so it will have to be a quick in and out for me.  We didn't get home until after 8:00 tonight from the Jr High Football game so we're having to get the homework crammed in before bedtime.

Me either and now I will have two My parents never were really involved with that with me- I always did my homework without being forced to- today though it seems as if they give more than ever! Busy work most nights to!

I'm feeling your pain Ruby. My older daughter last year was horrible at getting assignments done, forgetting tests etc.  It was a horrible year.  This year she's on the cheerleading squad and we've stressed how important time mgmt and organization is.  Also, the fact that she must maintain an 80 average is incentive.  Starting our third week and so far so good.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I'm still reviewing her math everynight to make sure she doesn't get behind.  That's one of those subjects you have to stay on top of or it swallows you up.  I'm reliving my 8th grade algebra all over again.  It IS better the second time around though!!

The boy relied for years on his great memory, but the last couple of years, homework has ourweighed the tests so he has suffered- his ADHD kills his organizational skills and focus and no one medicine helps enough. It might help if he cared too- he says this year he does, he wants to transfer to a better school next year, but has to pull all A and Bs to do it.
