Yeah she is fine and she just reminded me about the rock she swallowed about a month ago!

When my husband was real young he managed to stick a toy bullets up his nose (both nostrils). The more he cried the further up they went. His father finally managed to get them out.

My next door neighbor had to take their little girl to the emergency room a few weeks back for sticking a fake jewel up her nose. The did an xray and had to send her to an ENT. All that $ and they never figured out what happenend to it!

I think that is what they determined happened- she swallowed it at night and it came out later!

That's funny, we were talking about this exact subject today at the cook out we went to. It was determined that food articles, such as a piece of sausage and a breadstick, can be sucked out with a medical grade nose sucker thingy. But a pony bead perfectly aligned with the nostril must be removed by a doctor.

glad you didn't have to see the doctor!  thank goodness for big brothers!


my younger brother once stuck a dried pinto bean up his nose.  but he didn't tell anyone until his nose began to swell and hurt.  so my ma takes him to the doctor and when she pulls it out, the bean has begun to sprout!  gross!


no, i've never stuck anything foreign up my nose, but once when i was five ish, i stuck a bobby-pin in an electrical socket.  and when i was around seven ish, i played with matches underneath my dad's truck and when i was around nine, i jumped off the roof of the house into a pile of sand...

Hey Disco Strangler- that story about the bean is a hoot.  I was always the safe/good kid.  I never did anything dangerous. 


My older brother was the one that had my mom jumping for the first 12 years of his life.  I don't know how many emergency room visits she made.  The worst thing he ever did was dipping danderlions in gaseline and lighting them with my dad's torch that he used for welding.  His arm/shirt caught on fire.  It was actually quite horrible.  I only have a faint memory of it.

my brother and I had these plastic bb pellet guns that we used to shoot eachother with around the house. I must have been about 6 and he 4 when I let him believe he shot me in the nose. he came over to see and I blew one of the bbs out of my nose and onto his face. game on. so we had a new game "boogers" but at one point he couldn't get the bbs out of his nose. My aunt was there, and she was a nurse and had to take a tweezers to get them out. I remember my dad being 1/2 pissed saying "you were THAT close to going to the hospital" , but 1/2 amused later at what numbskulls he had for kids.
