I was just thinking about how the girl and hubby's parents leave the door open and how much it bothers me.


We don't have a wall or a door so we have no choice. But the 2nd bedroom is right by our room so why can't they close the door?


But besides that I've always had the door closed unless I was trying to suck cooler air in with a fan or something.

Door open, E wanders in and out. I kept my door shut as a kid, but I had a dad and a brother,so I was trying to have privacy. Now I never shut the door!

Like you we have it closed unless it's hot and we want some air to get in. I don't mind either way though.

I rarely have my bedroom door closed. If we have guests, I'll close it most of the way and leave it open just a crack, but I don't want to close it all of the way so the cats can get in and out. I also feel too confined with the door closed. But it's usually just the two of us, so there's really no reason to close the door.

Growing up, when I finally got a bedroom of my own, it was on the second floor around a corner and I was by myself, so I always left the door open. Again, so the cats could get in, and I just never had a reason to close it.

living in an apartment, I keep it closed for the silence factor, unless I have the air conditioner on and want to circulate the air in there.

WE usually always leave the door closed... reason #1: The new puppy, he loves to come in and explore.  So even when we are not in the bedroom the door is shut.  #2, BF daughter who is 3 years old, she is right down the hall, and she is also a nosey body.  Love to try on my jewelry, spray my perfumes, and just walk right in whether we are in there or not.  and #3 when it is hot the window air conditioner just keeps our room cooled off.
