No, he does not talk to me much anymore- I mean that appears normal- who wants to talk to their mom? But he said it was okay and people did not harass him about last year, but many were shocked he was there. No good fights or strange teachers. But I agree what a stressful day. There are over 2200 kids there!

I remember what I wore the first day of high school- green courdray pants with a pink oxford and an argyle vest, green, pink and white over the shirt. What a prep!

Sounds like a prep too! I can't believe I remember that about that day.

My high school was small though- maybe 800 students.

I had one in each color- in gym class we had to wear a white shirt and the cool (and rich) kids wore izod. So petty now.

But I am thinking it would have turned out worse had I not been then one with the shirt. I try to tell me hubby that stuff like that is so important to the boy- shoes and clothes with certain labels. He was poor though and does not understand. I try to frame it now by the right tools and fishing gear. Maybe that will make it sit in better.
