spider buddy

There has been a spider that lives behind my rear view mirror for about a year. this sucker has survived winter, car washes, long road trips, heavy rain storms. I always applied a "live and let live policy" with this guy. so long as he never found his way into the car, onto my arm, etc...I'd let him be.

he even made it to and from green bay last weekend just fine. well this morning I think he finally got done in. he was spinnin a web from the middle of my door to the mirror, flappin around in the air pretty good and I think he finally blew off the car.  funny thing was, it wasn't on the freeway at 60 mph, but when I was actually slowing down for a red light. I hate spiders, but hope he makes it and gets a new home. that guy has survival skills.

yea...know what it was is that I'd forget he was there until I was already driving....and I wasn't goin to try and mash it then. it became like a little thing I'd notice when driving "is he STILL there???"

I don't know, I thought it was just interesting this spider made it this long in its mobile home...

I agree with JR..that thing would have to be dead. The only good spider is a dead one.

I have to side with JD- outside is good- and it would be like having a pet! Hope he survived!

I'm with JD too.  Why kill an innocent life?  I bring insects outside.  Two exceptions, and I do consider this self-defense:  ticks & female mosquitos.

The males don't suck your blood, and they're much larger.

spiders always come back...but not if you kill them. You guys can have all of them come live in your house.

Well to be safe- all mosquitos must go- especially since West Nile is prevalent here.

No seriously, a male mosquito will never touch you.  They usually just hang out on your wall for a few days - up high, I've noticed...

I'm with LS, but I'm sure no one is surprised. Spiders are good bugs.
