Just stopping in to say that I won't be here. I forgot that we have to go spend time with hubby's biological father. This is gonna stink! I hate when we have to do this. I don't know how long we will be gone. And later I know that I have to help hubby type up his homework, plus got laundry. So have a good one all in case I don't get back here!

Sounds like Ally is putting her foot down!

Sparky could do that too if he didn't have to worry about injuring his shoeless foot

I've got the exact opposite problem here. Two weeks ago, my husband said he wanted new shoes. I said, "Okay, let's go!" But he didn't want to go then. He didn't want to go the next time I offered. Finally yesterday he said he wanted to get new shoes today. He's said today that he wants to go get them today. But have we gone yet?

I need a new pair of shoes, actually I could use 3. but not today. Last time I was at target I looked. NOTHING for shoes. just real ugly stuff, and only a couple pair in my size. dang it. I'll get around to it one of these months.

FANTASTIC! Looking forward to hearing about it!

Sometimes it's like shooting fish in a barrell ain't it

In fact, I believe that's the industry term for the people that shouldn't be playing cards, Fish.

Glad you're a fisherman and not a fish buddy!

We had a very successful shopping trip. Brian got a pair of tennis shoes that are perfect for his work, with an extra toe support, high top, and they don't look dorky. He also got a pair of mocs for a nicer shoe when he wants to wear something nicer than tennis shoes. He also got a pair of sunglasses and some gel pens for his artwork.

I got a pair of black flip flops on clearance (I destroyed my last pair of black flip flops and needed another), and they even have some indian style beading on them. I also got this really cool pair of Champion maryjane style shoes. They're both dressy and sporty, I'm excited to wear them. I tried to find a picture online, but I couldn't. They were also half price, so they're probably last year's style. I usually wear flip flops until my toes freeze off, but I can't wait to try these out.

I clobbered them in the tourney dept.  Just for a change of pace I'd thought I mite play some 7 card stud. I entered 2 - 5 dollar tourneys and didn't place . In the 3rd I did , took 8th and won 40 chickens  . Next time was a  $ 10.00 buy in , placed  7th and took home  45 birds. The next one was a $10.00 buy in , placed 3rd and stole 185 eggs from the coop !

In the rest of the cheepies I played in (5 bucks or less ) I either won a few dollars or broke even.  In the single table tourneys I've placed in the de- nero more often than not.

the 5 dollar tourneys have a few hundred people in them  , the 10 dollar tourneys have about 150 people  , single tables have 10 people  ,  the $1.00- $3.00 tourneys have at least 1500 people.

not quite , but getting there . I've done a little math and figure that I would need to play in $20.00 - $30.00 tables and  tourneys and be somewhat consistant .

Untill this week all the  mega people tourneys have been $ 5.00 or less entry fees.

As the buy- in increases so does the caliber of player. I believe I'm ready to step up a notch to the  $10.00 buy - ins and start working that level.  It's like a video game , one level at a time , the only diffenece being is that I might  get my quarter back. And if I'm good enuff , I mite get yours too !!

You're SO right about the caliber of player going up as the table prices increase.

I usually hang out at the .15 - .25 cent Hold Em tables because it's like taking candy from babies. I do alright at the .25 - .50. The .50 - 1.00 I'm starting to only break even, even lose on occassion. After that forget it, I'm outmatched
