I just can't give up on the knuckleheads.

Bush won his 10'th game today and I'm thinking, you know, it's his first full year under his belt, next year he may be a 15 game winner.

Next year we won't be putting up with Turnbow. Next year weaks and hardy will be back. next year Prince will be even better.

This Rivera kid at catcher is a pure hitter with power, always a plus at that position.

I guess I just can't give up on them.

Every fall we're bitching and every spring we're like 14 year olds again talkin' about how this is gonna be our year!

I never had more fun than playing stickball with the girls

I remember one time when I was about 15 and this girl I liked was playing ball with us and so was another guy that kind of liked her. He hit a ball to the outfield and came racing into second, I was at second waiting for the ball and even though I knew I'd get clobbered I was NOT gonna move from that base because I didn't want the girl to think I was a wimp. He ran into me and it was like a couple of semi's hitting. I don't think I've even been hit that hard to this day. We both wound up on the ground in a daze and she just walked over, looked down at the two of us and said "what were you guys thinking!". Like we were idiots for not yielding our positions.

I think both he and I were on the same page though :smile;

I was...the cute boys all played baseball. I was never into MLB...but I love little kids playing ball. I was about 12 and had a huge crush on a kid named Paul...he lived a block from my grandma's house...I spent an entire summer playing with him and the rest of the boys.
