Hey!


Do you remember anything funny about your folks when they were your age right now, or even younger, raising you?


I remember a favorite thing my dad used to do; I am guessing if no one was behind us on a main street by our house, was to let the car get down to almost a rolling stop, and then just gun the thing back up to the speed limit, if not a bit above. to go from 5 to 40 mph in 12 to 15 seconds (lol in these old pieces of crap he'd buy to just drive to work and back) would just about pin me and my brother to the back seat. We loved that & of course at that time, being 7 and 5, it felt like 100 mph.

lol..my dad has always been a kid at heart so he was always starting water fights ect...I remember one when I was about 5 that was between all of our neighbors...kids and adults...it started with water balloons, then buckets and finally garden hoses...the funniest part was seeing my mother chasing my dad out of the house...he had taken the hose in one door and out the other...I thought she was going to kill him.

My mom would have been about my age right now when I was taking guitar lessons. I was practicing "Time In A Bottle" by Jim Croche. she was all "YOU CAN PLAY IT AT YOUR COUSIN"S WEDDING YOU CAN PLAY IT AT YOUR COUSIN"S WEDDING!!!!"


And I recall saying something to the effect of "you're as crazy as anyone else, aren't you?"


Yea that got me grounded big time!

My Dad did the car thing. But he had all kinds of cars. Usually sporty. But he would be driving normal and then just nail the gas and freak me out! Then he'd make the back slide in the winter.


Funny hubby plays with the car in the winter too! He loves to freak me out! One time I thought hubby was playing and we spun out of control and damaged the Explorer. I was yelling at him for being stupid and he yelled back that he was doing anything! How was I suposed to know the difference?
