When she wakes up! I sent her a sand dollar in the mail and she had to google it, so I thought I would share why I love them so! Don't mind me!

Legend of the Sand Dollar



THERE'S A PRETTY LITTLE LEGEND

THAT I WOULD LIKE TO TELL

OF THE BIRTH AND DEATH OF JESUS

FOUND IN THIS LOWLY SHELL



IF YOU EXAMINE CLOSELY

YOU'LL SEE THAT YOU FIND HERE

FOUR NAIL HOLES AND A FIFTH ONE

MADE BY A ROMAN'S SPEAR



ON ONE SIDE THE EASTER LILY

ITS CENTER IS THE STAR

THAT APPEARED UNTO THE SHEPHERDS

AND LED THEM FROM AFAR



THE CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA

ETCHED ON THE OTHER SIDE

REMINDS US OF HIS BIRTHDAY

OUR HAPPY CHRISTMASTIDE



NOW BREAK THE CENTER OPEN

AND HERE YOU WILL RELEASE

THE FIVE WHITE DOVES AWAITING

TO SPREAD GOOD WILL AND PEACE



THIS SIMPLE LITTLE SYMBOL

CHRIST LEFT FOR YOU AND ME

TO HELP US SPREAD HIS GOSPEL

THROUGH ALL ETERNITY

This is what it looked like when I found it- we find hundreds each year. Of course I do not capture them all, but once in a while we get some home!

Then you soak them in bleach overnight- it makes them delicate, but takes the stink out of them! They look like this:

wow! I had no idea those were bleached; I thought they were originally white & had no scent!!

Well if you are serious- if you bring them in and don't bleach them, in about in a week you will be very sorry!

Yes sir- want one? We got a bunch last year- there were hundreds that had washed up on shore and we hit it just right before the tide got them! Anyway I love them!

I had never heard of theses untill I got "Animal Crossing Wild World", you find loads on the beach on that game, I have never seen a real one though, thanks for the info Ruby.
