Work hours

This might be a repeat, but there are some newbies.

So what are your work hours? I am supposed to work 8-5 with an hour lunch, but I never have done that. My boss and I both work straight 8- 9-5 and eat at our desks. Somedays I take a lunch, but not most. I live far away and I would just prefer to get out of here in 8. I am also salary, so it does not really matter how many hours I work- the pay is the same.

My scheduled hours are 8:15am to 4:15pm. I get a half an hour working lunch. However as you all know I usually work longer because I'm waiting for hubby or issues with payroll. Mon-Fri

My second job times vary. Whatever I fell like. But usually 5:30 pm to 9:30pm. Mon & Tues

My hours are 7:00 to 3:30 with a 45 minute lunch, no coffee breaks. I love my hours, there is still plenty of time in the afternoon to do things.

My hours are from 7:00am to 11:00pm for non emergency work and I'm on call 24/7 for emergency things like servers down, etc.

my hours are supposed to be 8 am to 5 pm.  i take my 1 hour lunch from 2:30 to 3:30 sometimes if i have an appointment that i will use my lunch hour for, i can switch that time to work around.  like today, i have a hair appointment, so i will take my lunch from 1:45 to 2:45.  we are not on a time clock, so our time is based on the honor system.  sometimes when we are really busy, i won't take my lunch hour, but i will work and eat at my desk.  sometimes i have to take work home (ruby just frowned), but i'm hourly, so it's all overtime to me, which i have the option to bank and cash out later or use for a day off.

i know i wouldn't have it this good anywhere else... even if i work in paperwork hell...

eh I get in 9:15ish, if I work through lunch, leave 5:15-5:30 ish.

But when I get real busy, I just say I come in the morning and leave in the evening.

My hours vary from day to day...my normal is M-W-F 1-9pm and Tues and Thur are alternating either a day off or 9:30-5:30...I work every Sat and one Sunday per month. Its not ideal for having a life other that work but it keeps little A out of daycare.

My work day is 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one hour for lunch.  I go from 1:00PM - 2:00.  I am usually out of here right at 4:00.  I work Saturdays at the golf course bartending the hours vary, and I work a night or two at the golf course depending on what they have going on there.

I work 8-5 M-F with lunch from 1-2. During the summer we can leave between 12-5 on Fridays as long as we make up the hours. Pretty soon I'll have to do some trainings in the evening, so they'll probably ask me to take some of those hours out of one of my days instead of working overtime. I should ask about that...

My hours are Monday through Friday, roughly 1:45 - 7:45 PM.

I lucked out because that SHOULD be considered part time, but the job I do is a commission thing and it pays pretty well AND gives me insurance even though I'm under 32 hours.

Now I'm adding some weekend work though, because I want to make some more ca$h to hopefully buy a house in the next year.

Boy, this one is always tough for me to answer.  The "official" answer is 8-5 Monday thru Friday.  The real answer is that I generally roll in around 8:30 and leave sometime thereafter.  When is subject to the terms of my day.  I work in a 24X7 environment, and as one of the lead engineers, I'm always on-call so I'm technically never off duty. I have a laptop and a PCS phone, so my "office" is always with me. I frequently work between the hours of midnight and 3 AM, which is why I roll in a bit late in the mornings.

The auto shop's hours are 8AM-5:30PM Monday thru Saturday.  I try to put in an appearance here every weekday, but sometimes I don't quite make it. I'm here every Saturday.  On the weekdays that I'm here, we generally don't get out of here until 6:30 or later, depending on what kind of paperwork we need to do.

Yikes Mema, that's a busy schedule! I'd fall over after a month of that. And my PCS phone would be turned off after a week

It's just a matter of what you get used to. The "real job" has had the same terms for years. Most of the time it's not so bad.  Hurricane Katrina was the massive exception. 20 hour days for a month or so.  It was crazy, but that was when I learned of FFR, so it had it's positive points too.

What is taking some getting used to is having the shop. It's totally rearranged my life. I now have to think about this place all the time too.  I have  Yahoo Messenger up all day at the real job so I can keep track of what's going on. Keeps me on my toes for sure.
