Happy Saturday, all! It's a rainy, chilly Saturday morning here. Supposed to clear off later today and get into the mid 70's. It's about 65 right now. Got a late start this morning, so I'm playing catch up trying to get the lobby cleaned up before (hopefully) we get busy.

Good morning folks. After 4 rocky days w/ the BF, he sent me a dozen roses yesterday and a card. We talked some things out. It's not going to be easy but for right now we are working on some issues.

He is back at home. He and I have talked. We don't see eye to eye, on a lot of things, especially the dicipline issues w/ the 3 year old daughter. But, I'm taking Ruby's advice "If he's a good guy, try to make it work out, good guys are hard to find."

Thanks Ruby, if it wasn't for what you said, I think I wouldn't have even talked to him yet.

Thanks for looking out for me. I am doing okay. It's a roller coaster ride w/ him. Well, with both of us for that matter. He obviously did some thinking, and sent me roses. It's not the answer to the problems, but it at least makes me think he's sorry. And both of us just have to communicate better in the future.

I haven't been having any fun YET.

This weekend is the central Nebraska "Junk Jaunt". A lot of area towns along this stretch of highway work together and plan a weekend of garage sales. It brings in a lot of people. A friend was taking an antique table in yesterday and she didn't tie it down in her pickup and it fell over and broke. Yesterday afternoon, I fixed all I could on it but had to let glue dry. Ths morning, I went to the shop, finished it up and took it to her at her sale.

I then picked up donuts and brought home for the family and that's been my day so far.

I have some computer work to do and gotta practice some more for tomorrow. I have three new songs to learn. I'm not sure when I'll get to play with audio stuff.

JR, its more like 50 miles. Every town in the area participates. You can just work your way from town to town and from sale to sale. There's a little bit of cool stuff and whole lotta crap.

Aww, it's not about the deal for me, it's about the "HEY! I DIDN'T KNOW I WANTED THIS!" factor

There's always something at rummage sale that I NEVER would have gone looking for but once I realize it's there I can't live without it

Also, Rummage sales are one of the best places to talk to people. They're usually in a good mood, happy to be unloading crap that they would otherwise be throwing away. Grumpy, crabby negative people don't throw rummage sales. They just toss everything and say "WHY THE HELL WOULD I WANT TO WASTE MY TIME SETTING UP AND HAVING A BUNCH OF STRANGERS THUMBING THROUGH MY STUFF SO I CAN MAKE $18 ON A SATURDAY!"

Those people make me sad

JR: The "Junk Jaunt" is even bigger than I realized. It is a 220 mile circle that starts in Grand Island NE and makes a big circle through central NE. They say its about 50 communities and over 500 venders.

Good luck trying to get to them all in one weekend!

Good, er, um, evening all!

Actually, I woke up around 9:30 and was out of the house by 10. Did my typical Saturday morning errands: Went to farmer's market, though it started raining while I was there, stopped by the grocery store, and had to go pick up flea stuff from the vet (4 doses, $50, these friggin cats are getting expensive!). Watched Brian's shows with him (New Yankee Workshop, This Old House, etc.), then worked out. I'm feeling pretty good right now.
