the third season of Veronica Mars is going to premiere tonight on the new CW at 9 pm. Veronica is one of the best shows on television period, quite possibly the most addicting series since Buffy The Vampire Slayer. This season on a new network is going to be make-or-break for the show as it was teetering on cancellation for the first two seasons on UPN, but now the new network is going to help the show, especially with it following the big hit "Gilmore Girls".
If you've never seen the show before, now is the perfect time to start. The show starts fresh as Veronica and friends are starting college and every single mystery from the first two seasons have been tied up at the end of last season. This season is going to be more outsider-friendly as the arcs aren't going to be as deep and complicated as they were last season (which I had no problem with, but for a newbie coming into the show, they'd be lost). All in all, frankly one of the only reasons I still watch television, alongside "Supernatural".
Any other Veronica Marsaholics in the house? If not, please consider checking it out tonight, I've already seen the season premiere and I think that it should easily be able to pick up some new fans with the change in scenery, new theme song and everything. And of course, if you get into the show and like what you see, seasons 1 and 2 are out on DVD already and are definately well worth watching.
I work Tuesdays and already have to tape other shows on this night.
But I have heard good things about it.
awww, as a Buffy fan, you are definately missing out, Alyson and Charisma are both recurring characters on the show (they actually shared a scene together last season that was priceless, but the storyline felt kind of incestuous considering Charisma was having an "older woman, younger man" relationship with the character who is Alyson's half-brother on the show, it's like Cordy dating Willow's younger brother LOL), and even the man himself, Joss Whedon, cameoed in a season 2 episode. Oh well, pick up season 1 and see if you like it, I know Target has it for $20 right now, maybe you can get hooked via DVD and by season 4 (fingers crossed we get a season 4), you won't be able to miss it on Tuesday nights, lol. Plus, any show that can make Steve Guttenberg creepy definately gets points. Hell, any show that can take the little boy from the bad Shaq movie Kazaam and make him a badass gang member (yes, Weevil was the boy from Kazaam, LOL!!!) and have him BELIEVABLE definately works.
Veronica and Supernatural are the only shows at this point that I HAVE to watch every week, I still watch Housewives but it's not what it used to be.
