Hey Mz

I just thought of this- you are doin battle with fleas but your cats are indoor cats? Is that correct?

Today I had a few, I am guesssing they are fruit flies,(?) flyin around in here. Still have a couple.

One thing we have in common is that we've been both hitting the green markets- I am guessing these flyin things came from the bag of potatoes or onions I have out in the kitchen. This stuff is picked that day/ pesticide free stuff after all...

Might the fleas have come in on food from the green market?

I know for a fact that I am rinsing all this stuff off from the green market before it comes into the house again!

I'm pretty sure the fleas came from when we took the cats to the vet. But it is probably a good idea to wash that stuff first, though.

well, I looked through the bags of potatoes and onions today and as far as I can see, no bugs in there....maybe it was from somewhere else....maybe I have a tear in a screen somewheres?

but yea, still gonna rinse that stuff when I get home.

Well, all it takes is one soft spot on a potato or onion to attract gnats, so it's possible you just got one with a soft spot.

when we lived in town, fleas came to live with us once...

we tried everything but they wouldn't die!  until we used raid fumigators (not foggers).  that killed the little boogers!

JD- try this- it works wonders on them bugs- put some vinegar and dawn (dishwashing detergent) in a shallow dish by the bugs- they fly in, but not out! Leave it out for a couple days til they are all gone.
