I look everyday to see if someone is coming around here. I look at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach too, cause it is not that far. Well Motley Crue is coming and so I thought- we are going- til I saw the price- $99-102.50! Gimme a BREAK!

Prices are out of control aren't they?

And you can pay that much money for BAD seats!

I refuse to go to a concert unless it's someone I really REALLY have to see, and then I'll overpay a broker for the best seats.

I figure instead of seeing 20 crappy concerts in a year from the nosebleeds for a total of $1500 I can see ONE concert from the front row and REALLY enjoy it for $350

The one good thing about living in the sticks! Avg Ticket prices even for big name groups is $46.00.

Mark has forked a fortune out to see Paul Simon in November....£51 pounds...yet I have seen other prices for other groups at almost £100.


He has also just got a ticket to see Journey when they come round.... I just can't keep up with him...

Ruby- I'd be careful about seeing Motley Crue for that price. Last I heard Vince Neil passed out at a concert or something.


I totally think concert tickets are out of control.  I might try to see Bob Seger, though.

I want to go see Bob Seger- he is coming in November I think up here- but tix are like $60. no way! BUT & I don't know how well this works in smaller towns. Work your hustle. my buddies wife got herself a single rolling stones ticket for $20 in the $98 section.


I think we got in to see eric clapton in the $60 section for like $20. hustle the hustlers, they get ansy about show time.

another thing that sucks is ticket & facility fees. good good, goin through ticketmaster, its like buying a 3rd ticket. its absurd.


Hustle the hustlers! Be ready to walk away when they whine at your price. Go thinking that you might not get in, but you most likely will!

Won't work around here JD, we have no shows that come here so there probably aren't any scalpers. I remember them in Chicago though, oh why oh why did I move here?

LOL! My dad retired here in 1987- the year I graduated high school. I was young and broke and stuck around to go to college- which did not happen! At least not on his bill! Anyway now I have roots here and the hubby will not move. If we split or he dies- I am outtie!

Oh yeah, that is the only place I know people. Well besides NY. Do not think I would start from scratch. Maybe when I was much older, but with kids, need to have some family or friends to lean on.
