Chris De Burgh claims he can cure people - with his hands.

The 'Lady In Red' singer insists he has healing powers like Jesus and claims he has even cured a man who could not walk

He told British TV presenter Gloria Huniford: "I have found myself able to cure people with my hands. I met someone in the West Indies who wasn't able to walk. I put my hands on him and he was able to get up."

De Burgh made his revelation on religious show 'Heaven and Earth' and admitted he was reluctant to speak about his 'powers' because he is convinced that people won't believe him.

He added: "I try to play it down."

In 2004, De Burgh threatened legal action against anybody who mentioned his healing powers after his daughter spoke about his 'gift'.

ironically he once played about 5 miles away from my old house and i couldn't go as i was somewhere else...it was an outdoor gig at a stateky homeon a fantastic August evening....and I was down south at my mother in laws

Think that's bad? The only opportunity I had to meet the elusive Mike Nesmith - he came to NYC to do a book signing. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I was in Hawaii and couldn't go. The #1 person on my I Want To Meet list. I'm beginning to think it may never happen.

Does anyone watch Days of our Lives on NBC? If someone has been watching it for a long time they'd know that "Lady in Red" was Patch and Kayla's theme song back in 1987-88.
