U2 announces new album name

DUBLIN, Ireland, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The upcoming compilation album from U2 will be called "U218 Singles" and feature a bonus CD, the Irish rock icons announced on their Web site.

The bonus CD will feature 10 songs from the band's 2005 Vertigo tour stop in Milan, Italy, NME.com reported Tuesday.

The release will also feature two new tracks by Johnny Cash producer Rick Rubin, including the anticipated single with California rockers Green Day called "The Saints Are Coming."

All the money made from the U2/Green Day song will go toward the Hurricane Katrina charity, Music Rising.

No details have been released yet about the second Rubin song.

The album, due out Nov. 20, will include 16 of U2's best-known songs.
