Mornin' sg and Ruby   I hope you are feeling well for the weekend Ruby.  I hate being sick on the weekend.  During the week it's not so bad if you stay home from work, but if you are sick on the weekend, that really bites.

I get that way sometimes too Ruby. I'm sure your body is trying to fight something off. At least you're just sleeping, it could be worse.


So, I had to take my hubby in to see about getting partials this morning. It looks like it'll cost us about $1800, and I've only saved back $1500. Grr.

He doesn't have dental insurance. It was too expensive (don't laugh) to add him to my dental insurance. Of course, when I was decided whether or not the extra charge was worth it, I didn't think it would be quite this much.

MZ, I know it sounds weird but did you ask for a discount? A lot of times if you let them know you have no insurance and are paying out of pocket they will do that. It might only be like 10% if they do but still every little bit helps.

Thanks for the tip Ally, but we're going to Affordable Dentures, so they don't file insurance for you anyway, and already give that sort of discount.

Since he's would just be getting a temporary plate until January, we worked it out so he'll get the extractions and temporary plate now, and then the permanent plate, fittings, and all that comes with it in January, when the new flex plan year starts. So, it'll end up working out in the long run, but we'll end up paying more. But he really should've had this done earlier this year, and now he's in pain, so we can't wait any longer.

Yep. I had 2 guppies, Sunrise and Sunshine. Sunrise is doing fine. Sunshine got sick a couple days ago and wouldn't even swim around anymore. So I put him out of his misery today.

Well now it's easy, one's dead, one's alive.

When I first bought them, one was all yellow, and one had a bit of orange. But as they got bigger, they pretty much looked the same. So really, I'm just guessing at which is which.

Sunrise is probably happy that he doesn't have to live with a sick tankmate any more.

Sorry to hear that MZ.

On the teeth side we spent 4000 on the hubby's teeth. When I called they said they took our insurance, what they failed to tell me was they were not in the network and we would have to pay the difference! Trust me I tried to get out of it, even part of it, but not worth ruining my credit over. In January his smile will be paid off But it was worth every penny.

Oh yeah, it'll definately be worth it. He'll be healthier and won't have toothaches any more, and that'll make me happy too. Though it'll be weird seeing him with different teeth and without teeth: the top partial is in the front.
