Has anyone seen this movie? If you have then this might have givin you some insight on my mother. The wife in this movie is my mom! Insert Mary Kay instead of real estate. We were watching this Sunday when both me & my hubby were saying "OMG it's mom!" Especially the scenes where she is talking to herself and listening to self-help tapes. LOL!

yes I saw it and absolutely loved it. It was sooo disturbing, yet sooo true. Everyone was brilliant in that film.

I saw it was on TV the other day and meant to watch it.  I've never seen it.  I've never seen my mom epitomized in Hollywood. But... Shirley Maclaine plays my mother-in-law to a T.  If you've ever seen "In her Shoes" with Cameron Diaz or "The Graduate" movie with Jennifer Anniston and Kevin Costner you've seen the Mom in Law.

But it reeled me in and I did like it.

Have not seen it, but TG if Shirley is like your mom, I am sorry! But I loved her in that movie, probably just would not want her to be MY mom!

I think it is one of the most brilliant movies. It really gets to the heart of "what the hell is wrong with people today".

Well, I watched "American Beauty" tonight.  Hubby has the s for the weekend, so I've decided to paint my older daughter's bedroom.  Keeps me busy.  I rented that and the first DVD of Lost, Season 2.   I think I caught most of the episodes last year, but I need to make sure. 


Back to "American Beauty".  I thought it was very good.  Sort of made me sad though because I feel like I'm turning into Annette's Bening's uptight character and my husband balked and got out before he went insane.
