I usually only vote in the presidential elections, but this year I saw a commercial for one of the candidates that moved me so much that I decided to vote. Usually, I don't feel like I know enough about the candidates to make an informed decision. I wish they'd do something like that in our paper.

And the commercial that moved me? It was a commercial for Mike Sodrel about Baron Hill, totally slamming Baron Hill for voting on things that I agree with. Since I first saw that commercial, I've seen it a million more times (and I only get PBS, so it would have to be in one of the rare times I see regular tv), heard a commercial on the radio with the exact same subject matter plus a jingle (yes, Mike Sodrel has his own jingle), and got TWO voicemails from Mike Sodrel's campaign. I'm voting just to vote against that jerk! But now I'm undecided. I saw the debate last week, and I actually like the 3rd party candidate the best, but I always feel like voting 3rd party is just like throwing my vote away.
