Go vote Tuesday

I am up early so I can vote before work.

See ya later!

My hubby wants to take my cheat sheet too, he says he does not know enough about each candidate, but does not want to waste his vote. I got mad at first, but then kinda honored, he trusts that I will try to fill our area with people who he knows I at least have some clue what they stand for. Anyway- people are dieing for what we are doing today- honor them too!

I just need to vote to get this whole thing over with.  We in Massachusetts have two of the worst candidates running for Governor.  I'd make a better governor for god's sake.  Pathetic !!  but I'll vote for other things too, so it's not too bad.  And we'll all get to stop seeing the campaign ads tomorrow!!

Morning, our nearest poll for our county is 30 miles away, If I go after work I might make it.

I'm here. I didn't think I would make it though. It's raining and nobody seems to know how to drive. Getting in and out of the car I knocked my hairclip both times and had to redo it. These work changes that are starting sound like they are going to be a PIA for me. Well now I have to go enter the last data for payroll. Have a good day!

We get an hour off of work to go vote, so I just went to the polls when I would normally go to work. I found a thing online that had a comparison of some of the candidates, and it helped me a lot.

Does anyone remember the controversy a few years ago about the "I Voted!" stickers? It might've just been a local thing.

As voters were leaving, the workers were giving out I Voted! stickers. One guy sued because they put the sticker on his jacket and he couldn't get the goo off.

I plan to vote on my way home for lunch.

I'm mainly going to vote to stand up for a senator. His opponent is a sleeze but since we are a very Republican state and the opponent is Republican, I want to go vote for the good guy.

I've been thinking about this whole Republican/Democrat thing. The more I think about it, the less I get it. Why do we need labels? Even the Independents are considered a "party". Why can't we just have good people for the job at hand? Instead of a "party", why can't the people run on values? Would that be so terrible? This system seems stupid to me. I know people that will vote "their party" even though they honestly believe the other party has the better person for the job. To me, that is ignorant.

I am registered as Democrat. I am a "Democrat" because my parents told me thats what I am . . . so that is how I registered. For the last few years, I've been planning to change my registration because I find myself agreeing with the "conservative" areas more than the "liberal" areas. Why can't I just register as "American" and support whoever I feel has the plan that is best for our city, county, state, and nation? Why do I have to chose if I want to be an elephant or an ass . . . or red or blue. Why can't I be a blue elephant if I want?

Sorry, that's a lot of thinking for one morning.

Here here!!!! I was part of the Centrist Coalition for a while, and the point of it is exactly what you said above. I refuse to pick a party. I vote for who I think will do the best job. Unfortunately, that sometimes leaves me with a conundrum when I think the best person for the job is a third party candidate, because I know they won't get it just because they're not one of the two parties.

good morning all, I just wanted to drop a quick hello as I am off to work. I was supposed to be off today but the nasty co-worker goofed the schedule up so now I have to work. My eye is much better looking today the antibiotics are doing their job, but it still feels like I was punched. It turned out it was more serious than pink eye as I had suspected, I have an infection in the septum which is a layer of tissue under the upper eyelid. Can you say eeeewwweee? oh and voting, not a chance....work, eye infection and must take little A in for her two year old check up. My baby is going to be 2 on Thursday, makes me a little sad.

P.S. I also forgot to register in this county.....I already heard about it from Riggs yesterday.

Both of our candidates for Governer are HORRIBLE too Darlene!

I usually vote Republican, but in this race I can't even throw my vote to him. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.

The green candidate has no chance of winning, but the Republican and Democrat are both two of the most corrupt men I've ever seen in politics.

Maybe I'll write in somebody.

Anyone wanna be Governer of Wisconsin?

Ah JD, but he also kept his bogus promise of freezing property taxes by ILLEGALLY shifting the money we paid in gas taxes to property taxes!!!

I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE WE LET THAT GO WITHOUT A BIG OUTCRY!

You can NOT tax me and tell me you're doing it because you need to maintain the roads and blah blah blah. And then to keep some unrealistic property tax promise STEAL the money from that fund to offset the property taxes!

I DON'T OWN A DAMN HOME!!! SO I JUST GOT SCREWED (and not in a good way).

And don't even get me started on his assanine "Life-Time Compact" for the Indian Casinos who just happened to be among his biggest contributors. Who the hell gives a life-time compact to somebody? Who does he think he is that he can magically predict whats going to be fair and reasonable 50 years down the road!

Thank God the state legislature overturned that ridiculous deal, but again, the guy get's nothing done to him for his actions!

Doyle's gotta go And Mark Green is NOT the answer (can you believe it? ME! A casino loving Republican saying the life-time compact was unfair and the Republican candidate is not the answer! )

I just find this election to be VERY depressing. To know we're stuck for another term with REALLY BAD or EVEN WORSE

It really does

Wisconsin politics are UGLY Ruby. We're more corrupt than Illinois I bet!

We also have that wingnut Russ Feingold who has presidental aspirations. God help us all if that guy ever makes it to the White House.

I'm praying we can bounce him out of office at a lower level so he never gets the chance to run for President.
