Where's Dave been??  He's not even listed as a member anymore?  Did I miss something??  Not that I really miss him, because I don't, but I am just noticing now?

I was wondering what happend to dve the other day, Its sad that he has gone, he always made me laugh, very dry wit, I loved it. I know some people found him hard to deal with but thats what was cool aout him, he just didn't care, he always said exactly what he thought.... come back dve, we miss ya man.

I was sorry to see Dave go too, although I had tired of his act a bit.

Something had changed in Dave. When I look back at his posts from a year ago I would agree with Lady Strange, they were funny in his own way. He was like our very own Denis Leary or Lewis Black.

He was crusty and grumpy and FUNNY, and he reserved his venom for the rest of the world, but seemed to view us like family. I felt like he was the guy I'd want to take with me across enemy lines because I knew he'd have my back.

The last six months were different. His posts were becoming less funny and more mean spirited. There were a few things he said toward forum members that were just plain out of line.

I'm sorry we lost the Dave of a year ago, but I was relieved when I saw he deleted his account because I was always wondering what ass-like comment was going to come out of his mouth next

I agree too. I hope for the best for him. At his heart I KNOW he's a good guy. I think he was frustrated to a degree with the direction fo the forum, he wanted to see more serious conversation and "fluff" annoyed him.

But the forum is for EVERYBODY, I like fluff as much as I like substance, and for goodness sake if there's a thread about something that doesn't interest me I just don't read it!

Who knows though, he may come back one day. It's hard to leave your family behind!

I am glad that we all had this talk. I probably miss him the most, but I was very close with him and talked quite often outside of the forum. But when he stuck a knife in me, it hurt. Like I said I am praying, we all need prayers.
