Fun local crazy thing!!

Here in Weipa Australia there is a crazy custom of when the wet season arrives and after the first really big storm of the year, the men of the town all get together and do a nudie run through the streets!!  Naked men running everywhere !  There is word it is going to happen this weekend so I am ready and waiting with my camera...they even let you photograph them!!  Does anyone else have any crazy customs over there!!  Well I know now FFR has the cheese parade

On January First The Polar Bears cut a chunk out of frozen Lake Michigan and go for a dive!



 


these numbskulls are insane!!! but the bar here in town where they meet up before the jump, Steny's, has the BEST new years day brunch you'll ever have, and its like $5. Every 3 yrs or so, I end up there for the brunch and just to see these numbskulls get bussed to and from the lake. Some call it asserting their manhood. The rest of us call it asserting your idiocy...

JD believe me there will be many many beers!!  The whole town comes out to watch and join if they dare!!  And they don't care what hmmm...size...they are!!


And yes everyone, I will be taking many pictures!  haha!

I saw a show on tv that spoke about this and remember shaking my head saying why?  Well at least the Brunch is good JD.

How am I going to get a boyfriend while I am busy watching them with a tape measure, camera and much laughter and pointing!!


But they take it all in their stride anyway...great sense of humour up here!
