What a fun day . . .

The boy hurt a good deal of yesterday and was still hurting this morning. I called the urologist to ask them what to do and see if we could move his appointment closer. They said "If you can come now, come and we'll get you worked in".

Mrs. Web is out of town today for work training and I didn't even have a way to get hold of her. I went and got him from school and we drove the one hour and 15 minutes to the specialist.

They got us in in a reasonable time. The urologist asked some questions, did a quick exam and said "give him some Ibuprofin and if it doesn't go away in the next week or two call us." I think he could tell by the look on my face that I was less than impressed so he added "if it was my own child, that is what I would do."

So, we left, had a picnic in the van at Sonic, came back home and I took him back to school for an hour and-a-half. What a wasted trip/day.

She's on some meds that are supposed to "relax" her stomach so it will empty easier. So far its been working but it makes her relax all over. That's not a bad thing though since she is so high strung anyway. It is mellowing her out just a bit which in her case is a good side effect.

No, they don't know anything for sure. No one seems to be taking this seriously. Our own doctor at first shrugged it off, then it was easier to just refer us on to the urologist. The only testing they have done is urine samples.

We're watching now though as he was hurting most of today, he just had a big B.M. and says he's not hurting now. We'll watch to see of there is a connection between the two.
