Well, I'm off to work.  I will try to be here more today.  I have been very busy. 


This time of year you have to make room for the 2007 files, and take out any that are not needed.  There is a retention schedule for files and how long you need to keep them.  Each different type of file we have to keep for as long as the retention schedule tells us to.  I am just trying to figure out what has to stay and what can be shredded...it's frustrating and tedious!

Oh Happy Hump Day to you all...I just got over mine and almost onto Thursday!


I'm going to go check out some beautiful spots along the Great Barrier Reef in the morning so will take some pics to share with you all!

Oh, that makes me miss the Caribbean reef all the more! I need to find a way to go down there and go snorkeling sometime this year, I'm so jonesing for it! I wish I could snorkle in the Great Barrier Reef! (Though I think I'd avoid those stingrays there...)

I am going to try and have a good day despite my nasty night. So I guess I better let that out first. On Monday night I talked to my Mom to see if I needed to get another job due to her not really working her business since she lost her directorship. For some silly reason I thought that was the right thing to do. She told me that if I found something closer to home to go ahead but kept saying that the change in business was temporary. So I intended to fill out an app I have on Wednesday when I would be home. Last night I finished inventory and wasn't feeling well so I said that unless she had something relatively easy for me to do then I was going home. She told me that I needed to go home and proceeded to follow me into the room to get my stuff. She then told me that she was going to have to cut me to one day being as she is not doing anything with her business. She figured one day is better than no day. WTH! Where was this on Monday?!! And how come she didn't give us a heads up like we asked and deserved? So now we get to to stress until I get another job!
Everyone think good thoughts. Our money is that tight that any loss is crucial. Oh plus I'll be lucky if it doesn't cost me money to go there only one day due to where she lives.

But other than talking to people to see if I can use them as references- I will try to let it go for now.

good morning...  came to work early this morning.  jake had detention for talking in class.  dang it!  i told him if he's gonna get detention it had better be for something worth it! 


sorry about the second job, woo.  perhaps something closer to where you live will be better anyway.  kinda sounds like you need a change too.  it'll work out.  <333  feel the positive energy <333

it nice but freezing azz cold here today and is supposed to snow sometime this week.


On the plus side I am 9 days free of not smoking. ( i slipped the other day and smoked 2)

Thumper, are you making your house and car non-smoking zones? If so, then the freezing cold weather will help, because then you won't want to go outside!

Howdy Folks,

Its a cold 22° here today. I'm a little tense as the boy was being difficult this morning about getting ready for school.

I'm going to have to get to work on end of year bookwork before too long. I have an appointment with my tax lady next Friday. I'll have to line up a bunch of ducks before then.

Sorry about the job thing, Woo. If I hear of an opening for a slayer, you'll be my first recommendation!

Keep up the progress on quitting, Thumper. You can do it!

Yeah...always have to worry about the stingrays...Steve Irwin R.I.P....but they are usually pretty peaceful things.  I did swim in the water before when they have been about!  It's the Irujkandi Jelly Fish that are the lethal things here at the moment.

Yeah, I've swam with the sting rays in the Caribbean with no problem. But now I think I'd be more wary of them. In the Caribbean, the big thing to watch out for is barracuda. We also saw a sawtooth shark when we were kayaking, but I don't think they're native to the Caribbean reef. And I saw a nurse shark too, but they're fine as long as you don't aggravate them.

Ah man, I miss the reef.
