Good morning,

I am at work trying to catch up from basically being out, off and on, for two weeks.  Last week I was out celebrating my milestone birthday (40) all week.  It was great and my best friend flew in from Indiana and hung out with me and my family here in Idaho for the week. 

I must be getting old because this week I was sicker than a dog for a couple of days with the flu.  I think all of the "antifreeze" that I drank the week before got out of my system and I got sick. 

Regardless, I am here today at work for a few hours and am getting some productive work, but only because I have FFR cranked up on the computer. 
Have a GREAT day........

Thank you.  I am glad that I made it this far but still feel, and act most of the time, that I am in my 20s. 

As someone said at the party that my family had for me last Saturday,
"I am not old, I just have alot of miles on me".  Oh, so true.....

Good day all!

Last night, we had a couple friends over, and we started talking about fish.  Well, our friend has a ton of fish, and plans to open a pet store someday, and was offering to give us some fish and supplies.  I was tired and went to bed, but my hubby decided to go over and look at the fish.

This morning, I got up, got dressed, went to my hair appointment, went shopping, came home, put the groceries away, and started boiling water in the kettle for tea.  When I walked into the living room, our cat Sami walked in a few feet ahead of me, saw something just around the corner, poofed her tail and started sniffing.  At first I thought she saw a bug.  Then when I got there, there was a little terranium on the floor and a bucket full of stuff (some sort of supplies).  At first, I thought it was fish.  Then when I looked closer, I saw that it wasn't full of water.  There was a little water at the bottom and something in it, and I thought, "oh no, I hope he didn't put fish in only 2 inches of water."  Then I got down next to Sami and saw that it's a turtle!

So apparently, we are now owners of a turtle.  I've never had a turtle before.  I wonder how you take care of a turtle.  What does a turtle eat?  I sat there and watched it for a while, and it started to grow on me.  It has a pointy nose, I think it's a snapping turtle. I wonder if it has a name.  What do you name a turtle?  Sami thoroughly sniffed it, scared it, tapped at the tank, and then it got used to her.  She started purring.  I think she likes it.

Well, the turtle may already have a name, so I'll wait and see.  It also may not be permanent.  The friend he got it from can't have a turtle per his lease, so that's why we have it.  And apparently turtles are good to use to start a fish tank.  But I kinda want to keep him now.  We'll see.

Hi all!!!  Well it is Sunday here...and I'm just getting ready to go for a walk, do a few laps of the pool and await the shop to open at 3pm this afternoon to buy a newspaper...hick town...gotta wait until the plane gets in this afternoon with the papers!!  hahaha
