Kaisha moved half of her things out yesterday, and today she is taking all the rest of her stuff, like her bedroom set and tv, etc....

It doesn't matter how old your children are, it is really sad the day they "fly the coop"... she's moving to Providence RI to be closer to school today.  And I wish her well, but I am very, very sad!

Oh Darlene, I am sad too. I will pray for you both as you enter a new phase in your lives. Keep your chin up though, she will ALWAYS need you!

Sorry Darlene.  I know how hard that must be on you.

I remember when I moved out, I was 20 I believe, and my mother held it together as I came back six or seven times to load up my car with stuff.  But when I took the last items out she lost it and started crying

Just a word of warning though, don't turn her room into a home gym just yet.  After about 18 months my room-mate moved out and some job changes forced me to move back home for a year until I could get everything back on track. 

I hope it all goes well for Kaisha, but you never know.  And it's nice to know Mom is there to help you if it doesn't.

Actually no JD, my first place was down in the hood, about 6 miles away from the folks, but across the alley from my Grandparents and actually below my aunt & uncle who owned the duplex.

Rough neigborhood though, exspecially now.

Aw I can imagine it must be an awful feeling. I mutter all the time that I can't wait for mine to go...lol...yet i know i will be so lost without them.

As Ruby says you must have done good. Your daughter has blossomed from a seedling to a Rose. You have watered her and fed her and nurtured her and now she blossoms and stands strong, ready to face the big wide world and stand on her own 2 feet, safe in the knowledge that mum will be there in her time of need, to share the Ups and Downs that life will throw her...

Good luck to Kaisha, and thoughts for you too Darlene...
