Send an email to the future

this is kind of cool, it's a website for the movie the Lake House that let's you send an email to be delivered at a date of your choosing in the future.

The idea being to kind of have a marker in time, perhaps ask the future you if you accomplished the things you wanted to.

One person (apparantly a school kid) sent themselves this...

"Tomorrow is the last day of school and the summer will begin!!! Remember the goal.... did you tell him?????? Tell him."

Timed to the end of this school year.  Hmm.  I'm thinking some lucky boy is gonna be told somebody has a crush on him!

If you wanna send yourself a future email you can do it here...

interesting enough.... nice assumption that one will still have the same e-mail address years ahead tho...I'd like to send an email to myself slated to arrive 30 yrs from today, right about the time I retire....it assumes that I am still alive, and that email is not an outmoded form of communication,,,,,lol todays communication means is tomorrows beta-max....?

I thought about the email address too.  I sent mine two years into the future.  But I've had the same one for seven years so I figure I'll still have it.

It makes a difference though if you have your own domains like I do.  You could send yours to your AOL address, but if you change internet providers down the road you'd be out of luck.

I'm just wondering if two years from now I'll get an email from myself and be like "WHAT THE *$&%?!?!"

Maybe I should jot myself a note to remind myself to expect it.

Hahaha! Does that mean I get to leave the corner now? Apparently that's my home away from home, according to some people.

Don't feel bad.  I used to wear that hat so often in school they eventually ordered me a custom fitted one

Thus the reason you aspired to become an evil supervillain bent on world domination? Well, it sounds like a good plan anyway... Haha! I actually think that hat might be an attractive accessory for me.
