I wouldn't expect you to have too much of a connection to it.

And SG, well, you're a guy.  I'm a guy too, but I got a real sappy side to me and I loves the romantic comedies.  This was a classic in that genre.  Expecially with that quick witted writing style they had.

If I recall correctly season five was not so good though.  Cybill was pregnant.  Her & Willis were fighting pretty bad.  I think there's even some episodes where only one or the other is featured so they could stay away from one another.

Did you know in it's entire five year run Moonlighting never put out a full season?  Never even close really.  25 shows between seasons one and two, 15 shows for season three, 14 shows for season four and 13 in the fifth and final season.

When you think about it, it's kind of amazing it was as popular as it was with all those reruns and weeks off (a typical show has 22 - 24 episodes a year).

They used to claim they didn't' have a show ready because it was so hard to write, but a lot of the times it was the two stars not playing nice together.

One of my favorite things about Moonlighting was how often they broke the "fourth wall".  The show never took itself too seriously and would comment on the writing and stuff during the show.

In one episode Maddie & David were speaking together but saying things that seemed to make no sense when David asked her what page of the script she was on, it turned out they were on different pages.  That was pretty goofy stuff for a show in the 80's.

On occassion they'd have a chase scene run off set and you'd see the bad guy running behind camera men and set displays.

Good stuff , Good, SILLY stuff.  Aw man!  I gotta go get my fifth season
