I hate em' MOST because of the way they hide behind their artists and try to pretend they're doing what's best for them.

If they care AT ALL about the artists it's only the top 1% that they know bring in all their cash.  The other 99% don't mean crap to em'.

I understand the need to protect your content, but these A-Holes don't have a clue how to go about it.  They just keep further alienating the LEGITIMATE users of their product to try and stop the criminials.

Guess what DUMBASSES, CRIMINALS DON'T FOLLOW YOUR RULES!  You're only hurting the little guy!

And that just deals with MP3's.  I have NO idea what their motivation is for driving webcasters out of business.

It's ok Gaurogirl, no need to feel bad for us.

Whatever happens happens, but I'll be a VERY OUTSPOKEN critic of this group of fat cats until their eventual and almost certain demise.

I've spent tens of thousands of dollars on their product in my life.  THAT'S NOT AN EXAGGERATION!  I've spent WAY too much on music and music related products in my 39 years.  This is how they show their apprecaition.

Bas*ards!

So be outspoken! That's awesome! And, seriously, push the PR ring! Get coverage in your area and encourage others to do the same. These things make a PR-dependent industry rethink things sometimes.

I'm monitoring Live365's forum closely, they are organizing quickly (the independent broadcasters that is) and we'll be actively involving ourselves with whatever movements they decide upon.

I have to beleive the RIAA wants us shut down.  This pricing structure is too obvious.  Anyone with a brain has to know the average webcaster can't meet these prices.  I think they just want to keep tighter control of who plays their music.

But I also think there are enough big webcasters to really give us some clout.

We'll see.
