Even worse than the cavemen!

Yes, according to MSN, Russ Klein, Burger King's president of global marketing strategy, has announced a Burger King movie starring the creepy masked "Burger King." He tells MSN that Burger King has already "lined up a studio and distributor for a feature film."

According to Klein "the movie could appear as early as the end of this year, with the film aimed at 'creating a back story for the king.'" The hell?

How about this.  One movie with the Cavemen, Burger King, and the Gieco Gecko and get it all over with.

That king scares me.  No way I'd accept food from him!  He's like Michael Meyers or something to me...  Maybe his back-story will include something like how camp councilors allowed his brother to drown while they were making out or something.

At my daughter's high school there was a kid that wore the costume to all the basketball games.  Pretty creepy looking.  He even had all the moves down too.  It was funny cause all the kids loved it.  He would even bring hamburgers to the game to pass out as well as candy.

I was reading a story a while back where BK was talking about trying to create a new form of advertising, where the company's mascot is kind of a "star".

That's why they created the video games last year that they sold at the restaurant.

They said it wasn't just some goofy, short video game, but rather they spent a lot of time and money to make it a legitimately enjoyable game that could sell on it's own even if there were no such thing as Burger King.

Not being into video games I've never tried it so I don't know if that's true.

But this is their plan anyway

Another corporate ploy to get kids hooked on unhealthy crap.

Here you have it:  It's to target the male gender, 18-35, the big Burger King man.

October 13, 2004 · Slate contributor Seth Stevenson rates Burger King's newest ad campaign, "Wake up with the King." The commercial's resurrection of a Burger King ad icon from the late 1970s is targeting cynical men of the 18-to-35 crowd.

last summer we were at a burger king and THE KING was there.  he approached a little girl -- 5 or 6 -- and she got scared, screamed and kicked him in the shins!  it was so hilarious!  all she needed was a can of pepper spray...
