Well, the response wasn't overwhelmingly positive.

Sounds to me like they weren't aware of our specific problem and right now are just hoping it goes away on it's own

Hi Jeremy,

We suffered some server issues yesterday. The details of that are

quoted below. The issues with your service can only be assumed to be

collateral damage from this, and it is entirely possible that your forum

is suffering more than others. If it continues throughout the week,

please do let us know again.

"I want to provide you with some more detail surrounding the server

issues that occurred earlier today.

This morning, we experienced a large Distributed Denial of Service

attack (DDoS) on our main network. We block this kind of malicious

activity on a regular basis and keep it from affecting the services we

provide. However, this was a very large scale and targeted DDoS attack

which caused the 3 – 4 hour window of intermittent availability you may

have experienced. To give you and idea of the size, during the peak of

the attack we were filtering over 10 billion malicious connections per

hour.

While we take every effort to resolve network issues as quickly as

possible, this was a very different and unique circumstance which

required more time to resolve. We are not satisfied with the length of

time our services were effected, however, it easily could have taken

longer to resolve if not for the technology utilized within our current

infrastructure. We have taken steps to ensure this does not occur in the

future including the possibility of moving Gold customers to an entirely

seperate network.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you

have anymore questions or concerns please don't hesitate to ask.

I don't get the main page at all...
I cn look at LIST USERS...pull up a name look at their recent posts and then read and reply but heaven knows what I'm missing. i feel like I'm in a bubble. I can't PM either :(

Well this just stinks. Sounds like some of you are having better results today, but not me, it's still taking as long as ever to load the first page of the forum :(

I posted three times and I'm already annoyed. Guess it's time to go back to the real world. I'm off to do my food shopping.

I dropped these guys another email this morning letting them know the problem still exists.

Hopefully they'll look into it for us. This is really driving me crazy. The forum is NOT as much fun when you have to wait 30 seconds every time you reload the main page!

its better than it was but its still slow. It maybe takes 15 seconds to load the page..where it normally takes less than 2 seconds.

I think its time to let them know again. It doesn't seem to be automagically fixing itslef.

I noticed on the main page my explorer shows an error.

Some kind of syntax error on line 75 character 14. Only on the main page.

I forwarded that info to them, maybe it will help them diagnose the problem.

Yes, it is only the main page. The thread pages seem fine.

I think its the "stuff" at the bottom as most of the page loads, and works, it just never finishes loading completely. I have a feeling its in the "whos online" part of the code.
